Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of battlestudio.gg and the BattleStudio army builder (the "Service"), operated by BattleStudio. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The Service

BattleStudio is an independent army-list builder and companion tool for tabletop wargaming, currently supporting Warhammer: The Old World. The Service includes a free tier (unlimited army building and validation in the browser, plus limited cloud-saved lists) and a paid "Pro" tier described on our homepage, which may change over time.

BattleStudio is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Games Workshop Limited. Warhammer, The Old World, and related names and marks are the property of their respective owners.

2. Accounts

You do not need an account to use the core army builder — lists can be kept locally in your browser. Creating an account lets you sync lists across devices. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity under your account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorised access.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of these Terms;
• Attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the Service or its infrastructure;
• Reproduce, scrape, or redistribute the catalog data or Service in bulk for a competing product;
• Upload or transmit content that is unlawful, infringing, or abusive.

4. Your content

Army lists, folder names, and any other content you create in the Service remain yours. By saving content to your account, you grant us a limited licence to store, back up, and display it back to you as needed to operate the Service. We do not claim ownership of your army lists.

5. Catalog data and rules accuracy

Unit statistics, points costs, and rules text in BattleStudio are transcribed from publicly available rules and army list publications for player convenience. We make reasonable efforts to keep this data accurate and up to date, but the Service is provided "as is" for reference purposes — always confirm rules against official publications for tournament or official play.

6. Availability and changes

We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features (including free-tier limits) at any time, with reasonable notice where practical.

7. Disclaimer and limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided without warranties of any kind, and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including loss of army list data. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service, or delete your account, at any time by contacting hello@battlestudio.gg. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by Italian law. Any dispute arising from or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Court of Brescia, Italy, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of your country of residence.
